I primarily ship orders through Canada Post Expedited or UPS with tracking, but may also use other carriers at my discretion.
Orders are usually processed for shipping on Mondays and Thursdays.
Can I pick up my order?
Free pickup is available (Chilliwack, BC). You will receive an email when your order is ready for pick up (generally within 1 business day). I accept cash and debit in person or you can pre-pay. Please note that due to limited space, your order must be picked up within 1 week unless prior arrangements have been made. Contactless pickup is available for pre-paid orders.
When is your holiday shipping deadline?
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the nature of cosmetics, returns or exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me if you have any concerns about a product you purchased.
What efforts are you taking to reduce waste?
Bar soap already produces much less waste than liquid soap. Also, the shrink film I use to wrap my products is made from Biolefin - a film that biodegrades quickly into biomass, not micro-plastics.
Plastic jars are fully recyclable.
I only use biodegradable glitter, not plastic.
Why should I use handmade soap?
A lot of commercial “soap” on the market isn’t even true soap! Most people are surprised when they find this out. If you look at the label, you might see it listed as a “beauty bar” or “cleanser” instead of “soap”. This is because they use synthetic detergents and legally cannot call it soap. Handmade soap contains glycerin as a natural byproduct of the soap making process. Commercial companies sometimes remove this glycerin in order to add it to the rest of their skin care line. This means their soap is more drying but then they are able to sell more of their lotions, creams, etc.
How do I care for my soap?
Handmade soap will dissolve when exposed to water so be sure to keep the soap out the direct stream of the shower, standing water, and make sure it dries out between uses. The soap will also last longer if you use a washcloth or bath pouf instead of rubbing directly on your skin. Unused soaps are best kept in a dry, dark location to preserve freshness until you are ready to use them (best used within 6 months for optimum fragrance).
